If you want to create a rush of targeted prospects to your web site - and make back double, triple, or even quintuple your investment within days - stop everything and read about the unique advantages of sponsoring my newsletter. (Note: when you sponsor it in the "TOP" position, your ad is the very first thing our subscribers will see!)
Here's a testimonial from one of our recent sponsors:
"I just did a casual survey by asking callers how they found out about us… Right off the bat, I received at least 11 orders directly related to your Newsletter… which in revenue terms is about $1,500, with our minimum order being $50 and our 10% shipping discount starts at $75. Our most popular Discounted Meal Packages are $278 & $159 (#4 and #2 respectively).
Again, this is without the AutoResponders up yet… which I will use next time & have my Webmaster send to you by Monday. I'll get the next check to you by Thursday."
Karmyn Jones Clayton, President, Dining by Design, Inc
Note: When Karmyn's ad ran, we had 11,000+ subscribers - and she made back more than six times her investment! Since our subscriber base grows every day, please contact us for the current number of subscribers.
*SIX* Advantages Of Sponsoring Our Weekly Newsletter:
1. Our subscribers have requested and look forward to receiving the content we send them. To find out what new recipe they've received, they must open our newsletter and scroll down to the bottom - which guarantees that they will see your ad. And because they hear from us weekly, and each subscriber's newsletter is personalized with her name (i.e. "Hi Tracy!"), our emails are never mistaken for junk mail!
2. 84% of our subscribers are women, and 71% have told us that do make online purchases, in reply to a question on our "subscribe" form. When you run banners, or other ezine ads, most of your impressions can be wasted on tire kickers who've never made an online purchase, and there's no way to know!
3. Trevor Levine, who works with us, doubles as a freelance ad copywriter for www.marketingexperts.com, and commands $300 per hour for his copywriting services. Because he's so committed to promoting cruelty-free living, Trevor will guide you in creating a winning "free offer" at no extra charge. And if you sponsor my newsletter in the "TOP" position, he'll spend another 30 minutes writing you an ultra-motivating ad! (A $150 value!)
You can read about Trevor at 4. If we can honestly recommend your product(s), we will not only advertise your product; we will endorse it. This will generate the highest possible response. After all, our subscribers know us, like us, and trust us. So they act based on our recommendation.
5. Unlike ezines than run 4, 5, or 6 ads per issue, we typically run just one ad per newsletter (yours!). Occasionally, we run a second ad - but never more than two total. This ensures that your promotional message is never watered down. It also explains why most of our subscribers read our newsletter, instead of filtering it into a mailbox for "someday".
6. Our list is kept squeaky clean by Aweber.com. So you never pay for emails to people who don't want them. When an email addresses is undeliverable, it's instantly removed. And subscribers can remove themselves at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of their newsletter.
Demographic Information
More About Our Newsletter
Format: the newsletters are mailed in a text format. However, a link is provided at the top for subscribers who wish to view it in HTML. This link brings them back to our web site, AbbeysVegetarianRecipes.com, where they can view the same newsletter in HTML.
Ad deadline: The official deadline is 9:00am on Monday for that week's newsletter. However, we will only hold your position when we receive your payment. So you should secure your position as soon as possible.
Ad limit: Ad Rates (Two Options):
In other words, a big general list might drive more traffic to your site than a medium-sized targeted list, but the percentage of visitors who actually buy from you can be pitiful!
You should also know that the cost to acquire a new subscriber is generally higher for special interest newsletters than it is for ezines with broad content and a mass appeal.
As a result, we found that owners of targeted opt-in lists charge from 5 to 20 cents per name, when they send your ad to their lists as a stand-alone message (not as part of a newsletter).
So here's what we came up with:
You can have your message appear at the *very top* of our newsletter for 2.5 cents per name, or have it appear right above the recipe (about half-way down the newsletter) for 2 cents per name. If you choose the "TOP" position, Trevor will spend an extra 30 minutes writing you an ultra-motivating ad! (A $150 value!)
Many e-mail marketing experts feel that the top position in a well-read newsletter is even more valuable than a stand-alone mailing. That's because a stand-alone ad is immediately obvious as an "ad", and many people will discard it.
By contrast, our subscribers have to open our newsletter in order to find out what recipe they've received. And the very first thing they will see is *your* message. They won't discard it because (1) they want the recipe, and (2) many of them are inclined to support our sponsors.
The middle ad position is still good, because subscribers must scroll down to in order to see what recipe they've received. In the subject line and the opening sentence of the newsletter, we tease them with a description like "A sweet treat that even your kids will enjoy".
If you'd like to sponsor our newsletter, phone Trevor Levine at 510-549-4300 for guidance on creating a winning offer. He will tell you how soon we can run your message, and also, the exact cost (based on the number of subscribers we have right now.)
Here's the most important thing to understand: most people won't buy from you upon first visit to your web site… no matter how great your product. If you only give our subscribers your Web site address, you could get 200 hits, but only 2 sales.
For this reason, I recommend that you (1) offer a free article or "Special Report" (i.e. something that can be delivered electronically over the Web)… and (2) deliver it with a free auto-responder. This will enable you to capture your prospects' email addresses -- giving you *more chances* to convince them, at no extra cost to you.
Here are examples of "free offers" that work. When Chet Day sponsored our newsletter, he offered our subscribers a free recipe three times every week. When PetConsumerReport.com sponsored us, they offered a free sample issue of their online newsletter (a $6.95 value). When Ann Damianow sponsored us, she offered a free full-color Special Report. (In this last case, the Report was delivered by postal mail.)
If you don't already have a free offer, call Trevor Levine at 510-549-4300 and he will guide you. It's often easiest write an appealing article or Special Report that relates to the product you sell.
Now, let's talk about free auto-responders. If 250 people click through to your site, and only 2 buy from you, how will you get back in touch with the other 198? If you haven't captured their email addresses, you'll have no way of following up.
That's why I urge you to get a free auto-responder. It's like the email version of "fax on demand". When interested prospects email you, your pre-written article, Special Report, or sales message is instantly and automatically mailed back to them. It's effortless. And more importantly, it will capture the email addresses of everyone who responds -- so you can follow up with them at no extra cost.
Two sources of free autoresponders are:http://www.permissionexpress.com and http://www.autoresponders.org.
Personally, I use a paid service called Aweber. For $15 - $20 per month, you can have a series of up to seven follow-up messages, and they'll be automatically emailed to every prospect who requests your free information. My friend Nomi Shannon uses Aweber to offer her visitors a "free 7 part course on raw food recipes".
If you'd like to sponsor our newsletter, phone Trevor Levine at 510-549-4300 for guidance on creating a winning offer. He will tell you how soon we can run your message, and also, the exact cost (based on the number of subscribers we have right now.)
And remember, if you sponsor my newsletter in the "TOP" position, Trevor will spend an extra 30 minutes writing you an ultra-motivating ad! (A $150 value!)
When you're ready to proceed, you can secure your position by paying us through Paypal. Or you can mail your check to:
Abbey Levine
After your message has been sent, we will send you a report from Aweber.com showing how many people received it.
Limited Time Offer: Another Great Way To Grow Your Email List
As I mentioned, once you have people's email addresses, you can email them as often as you want, for free, with new offers and reasons to return to your site. That's lots more powerful than "hoping" they'll return, with no way to reach them!
If you look at the bottom of our subscribe form, you'll see a couple of checkboxes offering related newsletters. How would you like us to add a checkbox encouraging people to join YOUR mailing list too?
Every time someone checks your box, their information (name, email, gender, age, mailing address) would automatically be forwarded to you too. And you would only pay for the people who actually "opt in" to your list. (The box could either be empty or "pre-checked".)
We're not going to promote more than three related lists, so please contact us right away if you want to be one of them.
